Andrew Deschere, Patent Agent

Mr. Deschere earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a minor in Oceanographic Engineering. Upon receiving his B.S., Mr. Deschere worked at Bluefin Robotics, where he helped optimize the operation of autonomous underwater vehicles. Mr. Deschere then joined the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where he worked as a Patent Examiner in Technology Center 2800 for three years examining patents related to electrical power distribution, conversion, and switching. During his time at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. Deschere attended night classes at the George Washington University, earning a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on communications and system control. After leaving the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. Deschere joined a small patent law firm in Washington, D.C., where he represented Samsung in matters related to wireless communications, three-dimensional displays, and solid-state storage. After joining Keating & Bennett, LLP in 2011, Mr. Deschere has specialized in prosecuting patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in a variety of technologies, including display technologies, electronic control systems, signal processing, and printing systems.
